Constance S. Rawlins, Photographic Craftsman, CPP Constance S. Rawlins, Owner of Rawlins Photography in McComb, Mississippi, earned the PPA Certified Professional Photographer degree in 2000. She earned the Photographic Craftsman degree in 2006 and is currently working on her Master's Degree. So far, five out of eight of her merit images have been published. Four of her PPA merit images have been selected for the PPA General Showcase and one image has been selected for the PPA Loan Collection. Constance became interested in photography while attending high school and serving as the yearbook editor. She has been photographing weddings since 1987. Ten years later in 1997, she purchased a studio from a retiring photographer and went full time into professional photography. Constance has built her full time business primarily on weddings and high school senior portraits. She continues to invest in her business by being active and entering print competition in local, state, regional and national photography organizations. Constance was awarded the Mississippi Photographer of the Year in 2000 and again in 2004 and 2005, and also the 2001 and 2003 Central Mississippi Photographer of the Year. She is also the proud recipient of two Fuji "Masterpiece Awards" and one "Kodak Gallery Award." She has also received the 2002 Mississippi Distinquished Member Service Award, and the 2003 Southeastern Award for Outstanding Service. She received her PPMA Service ribbon and Honorary Service ribbon in 2005. Constance served as President of the Professional Photographers of Mississippi/Alabama (PPMA) in 2004. She also served her local guild as President of Central Mississippi Professional Photographers Association (CMPPA) in 2001, 2002 and 2003. She is a member of the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association (SEPPA) and served on the SEPPA Board of Governors in 2004. Constance is also a member of the Texas Professional Photographers and Southwest Professional Photographers Association (SWPPA). She is a member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and served on the 2006-2007 Education Committee and as a moderator for OurPPA.com. She will be the 2008 PPA Convention Co-Chair. She is also an active member of the American Society of Photographers (ASP) serving on the Membership Committee and as the State Rep Co-Chair. Constance has two children: Grady, 24, who is a Chemical Engineering student at The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss); and Kimberly, 20, who recently graduated with her Associates of Arts Degree from Southwest Mississippi Community College. Kimberly works part-time as a Wedding Photographer and also as a Retouch and Graphic Artist. Kimberly will attend Southern University in the fall of 2007 as an Art Education junior.
